Web Site Design Services

e want your web site to be a reflection of your business and its goals. Catalyst strives to help customers over the technical hurdle by encouraging customer participation in all phases of the project. We see the process of building and maintaining a web site as requiring 5 building blocks. Catalyst consulting services are available to complete as many or as few of these building blocks to suit your needs.

How much does it cost to make a web site?

To answer this common question, it is important to consider what building blocks you would like Catalyst to complete. For a small to medium business web site, we've listed some example prices below, but please feel free to give Catalyst a call (208-860-0719) for a quote specifically suited to your project.

  1. Creating a graphic design/page layout. $1,000 to $2,500 depending on the number of drafts. We will provide 2 or 3 example layouts per draft.
  2. Writing the content of the web site. This is the majority of work, often from 30 to 130 hours. If you can answer a few questions about your business, you are well on your way: Who are your target customers? What do you offer those customers? How is your product or service different or better than your competitors?
  3. Developing the web site. $1,500 to $4,500 depending on the number of pages and the complexity of the web site (pop-out navigation, custom graphics, or dynamic features such as on-line feedback forms). Full e-commerce sites (with a shopping cart and real-time credit card processing) would add $750 to $3,000 depending on number of items sold.
  4. Optimizing for search engine placement. $300 to $1,000 depending on the size of the web site.
  5. Maintenance plan/Training for future updates. Consider our Content Updater (installation rates). Other content updating solutions are available that may better match your needs. Contact Catalyst for more information.

Rates

During the initial consultation, we will establish which building blocks your company wants Catalyst to handle. Then a proposal with a description of the work to be done, hourly rate, and total hours necessary for project completion will be submitted for your approval. Billing will be on a monthly basis, with a detailed outline of work progress and total of hours worked.
